Jeffery Bruce Jones (57) of Conway, AR, born on February 7, 1959, left this earth on December 1, 2016, in Little Rock, AR.In his personal life, Bruce was a loving husband to Linda and father to Adrian and Noah. When he married Linda, he determined that her boys were his as well. He loved his bonus sons Chris (Lori), Doug (Stephanie), and Greg (Meg), and was a devoted grandfather to his six granddaughters: Makenna, Claire, Kate, Lizzy, Eve, and Charlie. He was also a loving son to his mother, Carolyn Jones (deceased).Bruce was involved in Boy Scouts, earned the Vigil Honor in Order of the Arrow, and was an Eagle Scout. While in scouts he served on staff of four Wood Badge advanced leader training courses, was Thunderbird District Commissioner, led training courses on the District and Council level, and spent many days staffing camps at Gus Blass Scout Reservation. He also received the Distinguished Commissioner Award, the District Award of Merit, and Silver Beaver Award. Besides scouting, Bruce was involved with local Ham radio organizations and previously held the position of Assistant Director of the American Radio Relay League.In his professional life, he had been a deputy with the Pulaski County Sheriffâs office, a volunteer firefighter serving as Captain and EMT-A/EMS Director with the Runyan Acres Fire Department, an EMT with MEMS, and spent 20 years as a radiographer at UAMS before ending his professional career as a radiographer at MedExpress in Conway, AR. In 2013 he was appointed by Gov. Beebe to the Medical Ionizing Radiation Licensure Committee for the State of Arkansas. The red roses on the casket are in honor of Bruceâs wife Linda, his sons Adrian and Noah, and his six granddaughters.
