Jennie Lee Taylor Helfer, 75, of Enola Arkansas was welcomed home into the arms of the Lord on April 24th 2018. Jennie was born in St. Louis Missouri to Warren and Violet Taylor on February 22, 1943. Jennie was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years Wayne Helfer Sr, son Curtis Helfer, daughter Trudy Helfer, 3 brothers Dale Lambert, Warren Taylor, and Gale Taylor, granddaughter Tonya Heslep and many other loved ones and friends.
Jennie was survived by her brother Jerry Taylor of Missouri, her sister Martha Broten of Enola, children Wayne Helfer Jr. (Nadine) of Missouri, Larry Helfer (Vickie) of Enola, Laura Pate (Matt) of Enola, Cindy Mahan of Conway, Candy Samples (Bobby) of Guy, Lisa Helfer of Plumerville and Debbie Wilson of Conway, 27 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and two more arriving soon and so many others who she loved dearly.
Jennie worked as the kitchen supervisor at Conway Regional Hospital for 29 years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Naylor, AR.
Jennie was the backbone of the entire family that she and the love of her life created. She was full of love, strength and generosity. She will be greatly missed beyond words by anyone that has ever known her.
Pall bearers will be grandsons Mark Gonia, Justin Nellis, Wesley Price, Noah Horton, Stephen Helfer, Gary Helfer, Cory Armor, Michael Keith Mahan and great grandson Christian Bland.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 26 from 5-7 p.m. in the Griffin Leggett Conway Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Friday, April 27 at 10 a.m. also in the Chapel.
