Jennifer "Jenny" Dawn Magar

Jennifer “Jenny” Dawn Magar, aged 39, of Hot Springs, went to sleep peacefully in the arms of Jesus on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

She was born July 5, 1982, as Amanda Faith, in Little Rock, and on July 12, 1982, became the daughter of Rev. Windel Martin Magar and Carolyn Jeanette Arivett Magar. She was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Wesley and Georgia Magar and Lawernce and Mary Arivett; and many aunts and uncles.

Jenny was a pastor’s kid in the true fashion of one.  She was the church’s baby and was loved on by everyone.  Besides the church family Jenny was welcomed by a very large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins into this world.  At the age of 5 years old she diagnosed with juvenile diabetes and has fought a long-tired battle with it almost 35 years.  Thru it all she kept a positive attitude.  On June 28th she said “If tonight was my last night, I know I’m ready to go.  I’ll have a new body, new kidneys and a new pancreas.  I was afraid of dying but now I’m not.  I’m going to sleep, and I want to wake up with Mamaw and Papaw on each side of me", and that is how it all happened.   Jenny never met a stranger and was a friend to all, she loved to play drums in church and sing.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two sons, Trey Magar and Christopher Magar, who she loved dearly; her parents, Rev. Windel and Jeanette Magar; her biological mother, Elizabeth Grant; so very many loving aunt, uncles and cousins; extended family and a host of many good friends.
