Jennifer Lee Welling Roe, born in Seattle, Washington on July 11, 1960, died in her home early Saturday, February 14, 2009 from complications of pneumonia. She is survived by her husband of 25+ years, Jeffrey Michael Roe and her 6 year old son, Jack "Aidan" Welling Roe of Little Rock, Arkansas; her sister, Jayne and husband, Shelby Stone of Lenexa, Kansas; brother-in-law, Samuel Roe and sister-in-law, Michele Roe of Washington; and several nieces, Sarah and Eric Reed, Melissa and Mike Morris, Michelle and Jeff Morris, and Stephanie and Scott Walton.
Jennifer loved her family and her pets. She enjoyed nature, collecting, decorating and entertaining. She especially enjoyed sharing her culinary skills for large parties and entertaining her family. She also loved flowers and gardening.
She graduated from Renton High School in 1978 and continued to pursue her formal education at Green River Community College. She was actively involved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in Young Women's, Relief Society and Primary Presidencies as well as an Activities Committee Chair and Sunday School Teacher.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 600 S. Rodney Parham, Little Rock on Friday, February 20, 2009. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m., with the funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Sunday, February 22 at 12:45 p.m. in Olathe Memorial Cemetery in Olathe, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations to support Aidan's education can be made to the Jennifer Roe Memorial Fund at Bank of America.
