Jennifer Dawn Vogel

Jennifer Dawn Vogel, age 44, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 4, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of life ceremony will take place on Monday, September 12th at Fellowship Bible Church located at 1401 Kirk Road in Little Rock. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, followed by funeral services at 1:00pm. Graveside services will follow immediately after at Pinecrest Memorial Park located at 7401 AR-5, in Alexander.

Born on October 17, 1977, to Arlene and Bill in Little Rock, Arkansas, Jennifer graduated co-valedictorian from Baptist Prep High School in 1996. She earned a BS degree with honors in occupational therapy in 2000, and later went on to achieve her master’s degree, both from the University of Central Arkansas.

Jennifer began her career at CHI St. Vincent, later joining the Little Rock School District and Arkansas Children’s Hospital’s burn unit. Jennifer found her work home at Pediatrics Plus, where she spent 15 years serving the children of Little Rock, alongside coworkers who meant the world to her.

Jennifer was passionate about life. She was an enthusiastic boy mom who cheered loudly at every basketball, football and soccer game she attended. She joined the boys in taekwondo classes, earning a black belt, thus encouraging James to become a second-degree black belt. Jennifer loved to play board games and she not only allowed, but encouraged, regular nerf wars and baseball games inside the house. Making memories and capturing those moments through hundreds of pictures and videos ensured friends and family in other states didn’t miss a beat.

Jennifer enjoyed attending New Kids on the Block concerts over the past 14 years with her sister-in-law. Her schoolgirl crush was Donnie Wahlberg, but God brought her true love from Iowa, a boy named Eric Vogel; the two of them were a match made in heaven. God continued to bless her life with two sons, James and Will. The boys were the light of her life, her driving force. Most importantly, Jennifer was passionate about her relationship with GOD, her Father. Throughout her battle with cancer, her faith never wavered, serving as a witness and inspiration to her boys and everyone around her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Eric; sons, James and Will; parents, Bill Wingfield and Arlene Jones (John Paul); grandmother, Frances (Memaw) Jones; brother, Lance (Melissa) McAlister; and step sister, Kim (Tim) Jones. She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, friends, and all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Christine (MomMom) Million; grandparents, Arland Jones and Glenn and Marie Wingfield; and stepbrother, Greg Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Jennifer’s GoFundMe account: https://gofund.me/a1cced40.
