Jerry Brewer

Jerry Brewer, age 70, of Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Jerry was born on July 8, 1952, in Sikeston, Missouri, the son of Ralph Eugene Brewer and Mazzie Glendora Funderburk Brewer.  He was preceded in death by his father; and his two brothers, Bobby Brewer, and Ricky Brewer.

Jerry thoroughly enjoyed the little things in life. He was Baptist in his faith. He graduated from Kirby High School. One of Jerry’s proudest achievements was serving 8 years in the U.S. Army, his jobs including being a crew chief on a Huey and worked as a combat medic. He thoroughly enjoyed being in nature in all ways, listening to classic rock, and he was known for always having a joke. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Mazzie Brewer of Daisy; his three sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Brewer of Amity, Josh and Amanda Brewer of Amity, and Brandon and Deann Cogburn of Amity; his six grandchildren, Chandler, Cierra, Isabella, Matthew, Michael, and Brandi; his great-granddaughter, Emma; his brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Diana Brewer; his sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Steve Hill; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Mt. Joy Baptist Church in Daisy with Chaplain Jimmy Holland officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel-Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.

Interment will be held at Mt. Joy Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood.
