Jerry Brown

Jerry Lynn Brown, a devoted follower of Christ, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 1st, 2023 at the age of 75. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and compassion.

Jerry lived in North Little Rock, Arkansas and dedicated a portion of his life stationed in Okinawa, Japan proudly serving his country as a member of the Arkansas Air National Guard.  Following his military service, Jerry embarked on career as a cable splicer at Southwestern Bell, where he worked until retirement in 2002.

Jerry was a long-time member and officer of the Arkansas Orchid Society, dedicating his time and expertise to the appreciation and cultivation of these beautiful flowers. His passion for orchids brought joy to his life and enriched the lives of those around him.  Several of his orchids received awards for their quality and he was given the opportunity to provide names for each of these plants.  His wife and each grandchild has a special and unique orchid cultivated in their name.

Jerry loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, studying the Bible, and fellowship with friends - and he absolutely loved his family.

Jerry was a devoted and loving husband and as a father he exemplified the love of Christ within his own family. He nurtured and guided his family with patience, wisdom, and unwavering love, instilling in them the values of faith, integrity, and kindness.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years Alice Brown, daughter Alicia (Cary) Yarbrough, son Bruce (Gena) Brown, grandchildren Devon, Adrianne and Joshua Yarbrough and Lyndi and Will Brown, brothers Jimmy and Billy Joe Brown.  He was preceded in death by his dad Woodrow Wilson Brown and mom Bill Robinson Brown and sister Selvia Jean Wood.

Cary Yarbrough, Devon Yarbrough, Joshua Yarbrough, Will Brown, Tom Brown, and Jimmy Wayne Brown will serve as pallbearers.
