Jerry was a carpenter most of his life; former owner of Chism & Son Construction, Chism Trail B.P. Station and Café and Farmers Market Café in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was the builder of several churches, the developer of Chism Acres and the builder of several homes in Scott and surrounding areas.
He loved horses and cattle but most of all he loved his grandchildren.
He was a lifelong member of the Scott United Pentecostal Church where he served on the board of Trustee until his passing. There will be an empty place in the third pew from the back, in the center section, of the Scott Church.
He will be missed greatly by his family and close friends. The church will miss his "hallelujahs", "praises", and his faithfulness. He always hoped that someone would be touched by his life. Many people have been touched.
