Jerry Curley

Jerry Lee Curley, 82, of Benton, Arkansas passed away July 2, 2023.  He was born March 6, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Leroy and Lillian (Whitwell) Curley.

Jerry had a love for Razorbacks and horse racing.  He enjoyed going to Oaklawn in Hot Springs.  He also liked baseball and was an avid bowler.  Family reunions were special to Jerry and he looked forward to seeing his extended family every year.  Some of his favorite television shows were “Young and the Restless” and “Yellowstone” with Beth Dutton being one of his favorite actresses.  In his younger years, you could often find Jerry at BJ’s Star-Studded Honky Tonk. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters:  Ernestine Todd and Peggy Wilbern.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory three daughters:  Angela Elder of Beckville, Texas, Beverly Beck of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Shanna Dobbs of Batesville, Arkansas; grandchildren:  Charlie Beck, Jason Beck (Sarah), Nicole Pritchett (Alex), Meagan Newell (Noah), and Blake Elder (Amber); great-grandchildren:  Marley Beck, Shelby Sisk, Carson Beck, Tara Pritchett, Alex Pritchett, Jr., Ryder Beck, and Danny Pritchett; sisters:  Carolyn Clark of Cabot, Arkansas, Mary Alice Showmar (Don) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Becky Pasley of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends who love Jerry and will miss him always.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, from 5:00-7:00 PM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Graveside service held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 7, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
