Jerry Lee Duncan, 73, of Benton, AR, joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 26, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and friend, always willing to lend a hand or share a good laugh. Born in Riverside, California, on April 24, 1952, Jerry was a hardworking man with a big heart and a great sense of humor, and he touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Over the years, Jerry wore many hats and did them all well. Most recently, he worked as a computer technician, using his skills to help folks with anything they needed. Jerry also had a real gift for making people smile. He loved to joke around and tease in the way only someone who truly cared could. His lighthearted spirit made him a joy to be around, and his kindness ran deep.
In his free time, Jerry loved riding motorcycles, especially if it was a Suzuki. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, soaking up all the simple pleasures life had to offer. Jerry was also a proud member of Cross Bar C Cowboy Church, where he stayed active in the congregation, helping guide and encouraging others. He also loved kicking back and watching a good Western, where stories of grit, loyalty, and adventure mirrored the way he lived his own life.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Theresa Duncan; his son, Trent Duncan; and his daughter, Chantrie (Chris) Cantrell. His legacy continues through his grandson, Zachery (Kaylann Hall) Duncan, and great-grandson, Rowan Duncan. He is also survived by his sister, Claudette (Jarrett) Dickinson; and brother, John Duncan; alongside a host of nieces, nephews, and close family and friends who will carry on his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lenora Duncan; his sister, Shirley (Lou) Greene; as well as his brother, Wayne Duncan.
In honor of Jerry, a visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N Market Street, Benton, AR 72015. This occasion will be an opportunity for family and friends to gather to celebrate and reflect on the life of a remarkable man who will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry’s name can be made to the American Heart Association.
The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock and Encore Heart Hospital in Bryant for their amazing and compassionate care of Jerry during his time with them.
Jerry Lee Duncan's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
