Jerry R. Fagan

Jerry R. Fagan, age 83, of Amity, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

He was born in Amity on August 29, 1941. He was the son of Doyle Fagan and Francis Phinney Fagan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Brittney Michelle Fagan.

Jerry married the love of his life, Janelle Rogers Fagan, on April 29, 1960. December of 1966, Jerry answered his call to the ministry. He pastored at Cross Roads Assembly of God Church, Glenwood First Assembly of God, Hot Springs Faith Assembly of God, Delight First Assembly of God, Amity First Assembly of God, and Culvert Springs Assembly of God. Jerry always prioritized working for the Lord and was a true servant. He worked for the Glenwood Glove Factory, Bakers Otasco Store, Cattlemans, and worked as a mechanic in his own shop. He loved hunting and travelling with Janelle. Jerry was a wonderful father, husband, pa, brother, and friend, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Janelle Fagan of Amity; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Dora Fagan and Chris and Pat Fagan all of Amity; his five grandchildren, Tyler (Haley), Samantha, Noah, Colton Matthew, and Dylan (Bethany); and his eight great-grandchildren, Christopher, Noella, Alyssa, Jacob, Charlie, Wyatt, and Harper; his sister and brother-in-law, Olivia and Charles Hutchison; his best friend, Mark Plyler; his dog, Lady; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and a host of wonderful friends.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Francis, Dewayne Francis, Eric Rogers, Lance Maxey, Roy Rogers, and Billy York. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood. 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Amity First Assembly of God with Bro. C.L Haston and Mark Plyler officiating. 

Interment will be held at Bethsaida Cemetery.
