Jerry Dale Willis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on April 7, 2024. He led a fulfilling life which touched the hearts of many who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on June 14, 1936, in McAlister, Oklahoma, Jerry was a man of dedication and service. He retired from the postal service and served his country honorably in the United States Army. Jerry was also deeply involved in the Masonic fraternity.

Those who knew Jerry will fondly remember him for his love for his family. He cherished his grandchildren and placed great importance on family values. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. Attending fish-frys brought him immense joy and he found solace in these simple yet meaningful moments.

In his passing, Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife Elsie (Branch) Willis; children: Kevin "Duke" Willis (Ashley), Debbie Provence (Tim), Angie Lane, and Donelle Swihart; grandchildren: Tiffany Willis, Tyler Willis (Madison), Lisa Bubbus (John), Lynnsee Provence (Megan), Justin Lane, Brandy Lane, Kaylie Swihart, Karlee Smith (Austin), Kaden Stewart, and Shannon Phillips (Kevin); as well as great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Emerlyn, Weslyn, Kylie, Koleson, Emma, Angel, Ashley, Cheyanne, Karter, Lawson, and Ledgen.  He is also survived by brothers Keith Davis and Darrell Davis; sister Marty Strong; along with numerous other family members and friends who held a special place in Jerry's heart.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Marie Davis; great-granddaughter, Kayla Bubbus; and aunt, Dorothy "Dot". 

The memory of Jerry Dale Willis will forever remain alive in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, warmth and unwavering love. May he rest in peace knowing that he was cherished by many and will be dearly missed always.

Services to honor Jerry's life will take place at Smith-Benton Funeral Home for visitation on Thursday, April 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Funeral service will be held at Ironton Baptist Church, on Friday, April 19th at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM where Jerry will be laid to rest with military honors.
