Jewell Beatrice Lynch Sullivan, 100, of Cato, passed from this life on October 7, 2026 surrounded by the legacy of a family that grew to span five generations. She was born August 24, 1926, in Hodges, Alabama, to Thomas and Lilian (Whitfield) Farr.
On April 24, 1942, Jewell married Lloyd Raymond Lynch. Their union was blessed with six children: Lloyd Robin Lynch (Shirley), Judy Ann Lynch Crowley (Michael), Linda Kay Lynch Wilcox (Buddy) Sidney Dwight Lynch, Ronald Dean Lynch (Jenny), and Daryl Ray Lynch.
After being widowed for ten years, Jewell found companionship and love once again. On December 30, 1974, she married Charles Sullivan, and through their marriage she was blessed with a bonus daughter, Charlene Swaims, Charles’s daughter. Jewell and Charles shared their lives together until his passing in 2010.
Few things tell the story of a life as beautifully as the generations that follow. Jewell leaves an extraordinary family legacy that includes 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren. Her family was truly one of the greatest blessings of her long life.
Jewell was a woman of the Southern Baptist faith, and her faith remained an important part of her life throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lilian Farr; her husband, Lloyd Raymond Lynch; sons, Lloyd Robin Lynch (Shirley) and Sidney Dwight Lynch; her daughter, Judy Ann Lynch Crowley; her siblings, Archie, Ovie Lee, Gussie May, Milford, Hasten, and Gertrude; her husband, Charles Sullivan; and grandson Lee Cauley.
She is survived by her children, Linda Kay Lynch Wilcox (Buddy), Ronald Dean Lynch (Jenny), and Daryl Ray Lynch; her bonus daughter, Charlene Swaims; and the many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, extended family, and loved ones who will carry her memory forward.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Graves Memorial Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Travis Matthews and nephew Reverend Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Jonathan Koch, Shawn Wilcox, Jordan Burns, Bryan Buxton, Byron Crowley, Jason Lynch, Adam Lynch, and Jessie Lynch.
Jewell’s century of life was measured not simply in years, but in the generations she nurtured, the family she loved, and the memories she leaves behind. Her life became part of the lives of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren—a legacy of family that will continue for generations to come.
