Jim Frank Bayles, Sr., age 83, of Ward, Arkansas died Wednesday, August 13, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident. He was a US Navy Veteran of WW II. Mr. Bayles was a fifty year Mason and a member of Ward Lodge # 99; a retired owner of Bayles Highway Market in Ward and a member of the Iron Workers Local # 321.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lilly McGill Bayles; one son, Jim Frank Bayles, Jr.; and a grandson, Tony Dwayne Johnson. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Imogean Bayles of Ward; five daughters, Glenda Cook of Georgia, Sherry Walker, Peggy Rathbun, both of Ward, Tena Cook of Cabot and Patsy Easley of Holenwald, Tennessee; one son, Jimmy Bayles of Sylvania; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dolly Dixon of Florida.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Ward with interment in Monk Cemetery in Ward.
