Jim Vandiver

Jim Vandiver, of North Little Rock, passed away September 2, 2013. He was born July 21, 1940 in Leighton, Alabama to the late Clyde and Katie Lee Fuller Vandiver.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Vandiver of North Little Rock; daughter, Teresa Vandiver Lassiter and husband, Kevin Lassiter of Lonoke; sons, Joe Vandiver and Jason Vandiver and wife, Kelly Vandiver all of North Little Rock; fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Bobby and Chris Vandiver and two grandchildren, Jessica and Nathan Vandiver.
Jim was a Pentecost Church of God minister and owned and operated a termite and pest control business. Jim loved his family and friends, loved to make people smile telling jokes and making everyone smile was a joy to him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
