Jimmie Wayne Mitchell, 63, of Maumelle, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. He was a 1963 graduate of Little Rock's Central High School, and worked for several chemical companies, most recently for Chemsearch. Jimmie had a great love for his God and his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Mitchell. His survivors include his mother, Gladys Dickerson Mitchell; son, Jon Mitchell (Stacey) of Little Rock; daughters, Tamara Shae Murders (Ken) of Slidell, Louisiana and Lauren Mitchell of Maumelle; sisters, Patricia Dozier (Hank) of Fox, Arkansas and Alice Newman of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Leif Mitchell, Gus Mitchell, Jon Austin, Evan and Grace Murders.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Church, 10910 Maumelle Blvd., Maumelle. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to CARTI, 9500 Kanis Rd., Little Rock, AR 72205.
