Jimmie Sue Robbins, age 93, of Norman, Arkansas, passed away on July 8th at the Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mt. Ida. She was born on February 17, 1933, in Missouri and moved to Arkansas early in her life. Sue is a believer in Jesus and joined Barr Memorial Presbyterian Church while in school. She also worked as a telephone operator during her senior year. Following her graduation, she moved to California to continue working in this field. While there, the love of her life, Dee Ray Robbins, convinced her to move back to Arkansas. They were married on June 7, 1953 and enjoyed 62 years together.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Ray Robbins; her mother, Hallie Jo Stelter; one brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Jan Alexander; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Loyd and Nell Short and Henry and Retha Robbins,. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Vickie Robbins of Mena and Don and Rhonda Robbins of Mammoth Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Hatton of Sims; four grandchildren (Derinda Taylor, Justin Hatton, Bethany Robbins, and Kenya Robbins;) four great-grandchildren (Jordan Rice, Tristan, Blake, and Brandon Taylor;) many nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Sue was a home-maker taking care of their three children. After the kids were old enough, she was employed by Munro Footwear in Mt. Ida, making shoes for a few years. She was then employed by Caddo Hills Schools as an Elementary Librarian. Later, she bacame the Elementary Secretary there until she retired. Sue enjoyed fishing, hunting off her back porch, reading, and painting. She volunteered at the Norman Library in the town square to help keep it going. She also loved watching the Arkansas Razorback basketball team.

Services will be held at Barr Memorial Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Friday, July 10 from 6:00 Pm until 8:00 PM. Funeral is Saturday, July 11, at 10:00 Am with Bro. Don Robbins officiating. Interment will be at the Robbins Cemetery at Caddo Gap. Pallbearers will be Gary Alexander, James Walden, Tim Robbins, Justin Hatton, Todd Robbins, and Scott Taylor. Memorials may be made to the Robbins Cemetery Fund C/O Debbie Kibbey, 110 Advantist Church Rd, Bonnerdale, AR 71933.
