Jimmy Carl Plyler, Senior, 62, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born May 15, 1961, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Carl Wayne Plyler and Frances Stella Rogers Plyler.

Jim worked as a master electrician at Rineco for sixteen years. He loved fishing, hunting, hiking and chasing sunsets. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, and he loved being a father and pops to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Rhonda Plyler and Tina Patterson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of ten years, Tracie Plyler; his sons: J.J. (Sonya) Plyler of Bearden, Steven Plyler of Gurdon and Robert (Amanda) Plyler of Hot Springs: his daughters: Kayla Plyler of Jonesboro, Mackenzie Rushing of Benton and Erica Durham of Bryant; four siblings and nine grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Jim’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home with Brother Charlie Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Gurdon.

Pallbearers will be J.J. Plyler, Steven Plyler, Robert Plyler, Landon Plyler, Colton Plyler, James Chauncey, Luke Witham and Tim Taylor.

Jim’s grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
