Jo Anne Chandler Knight

Jo Anne Knight, 81, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away December 14, 2022. She was born on June 17, 1941 in Selma, Alabama to the late Jesse D Chandler and Margaret Alice Chandler (née Scarborough).

She is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Scott Daniel Olson. Jo Anne is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Dan Knight, Jr.; daughters, Felicia Elizabeth Olson (née Knight)  and Janna Margaret Belote (née Knight) (Robert); grandson, Damion Schroeder; granddaughter, Danielle Olson; siblings, Mitzi Rowe (Steven), Vickie Cleckley (Wayne); and a host of family and friends.

Jo Anne enjoyed reading, playing bridge,  painting,  and spending time with her friends and family. She and Dan were devoted to each other and loved to be together. Jo Anne retired in 1995.  She was an English Teacher with the Lafourche Parish Schools, where she made a positive impact on students and staff.  Jo Anne was also a very spiritual person throughout her life.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). In lieu of flowers, please make a gift in Jo Anne’s memory to breast cancer research or your favorite charity.
