Jo Kern

Jo Marilyn Kern, 80, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013. She was a member of the PEO, DAR, Red Hat Society, Red Cross, Mary Martha's, Bunko Group and was active in all Facets of Sylvan Hills Community Church. She will be remembered for the way she loved, the example she set and her ability to "pay it forward."
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Connie Mack Kern; son, Roger Lee Kern (Debbie); daughter, Robin Dee Gregory (Doug); grandchildren, Troy Gregory (Joy), Rebecca Gregory and Rachel Kern; great-grandchildren, Alysa, Kaden, Sam, Dean, Jada, and Iliana; god children, Sarah and Derek Keathley; nieces and nephews, Diane Roper, Susan Hodge Banks, Clark Hodge, Chuck Geller and Mike Geller; and a host of close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Delma Ruth Richardson Clark; two sisters, Pat Hodge and Vee Alice Geller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sylvan Hills Community Church, 8019 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday at Sylvan Hills Community Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
