Joan Howard

Joan Hannah Howard, 80, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018. She was born November 30, 1937 in Booneville, Arkansas. She was raised in Booneville and was a cheerleader and drum majorette. Joan was also a homemaker, model, bank teller and hairdresser. She enjoyed restoring furniture and cruising.
She is survived by her siblings, Peggy Heslip McLemore and Rev. Larry Heslip; and sons, Bob Howard (Sara) and Matt Howard (Sabra); three grandchildren, Andrew and Anna Grace Howard and Amber Hope (William); three great-grandchildren, Shelby, Will and Marlea Hope. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tennie Heslip; siblings, Shirley Bobbitt, Bruce and Dave Heslip and Dorothy Smith; and her husband of 36 years, Robert E. Howard.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Priya Mendiratta and Baptist Hospice of Little Rock.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 21st Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
