Joan Oates

Joan T. Oates, 89, of Alexander, passed away June 28, 2024. Born in Sunset, Arkansas to Ralph Terry and Ethel Dockery, she was a member of Mabelvale Church of Christ. 

Joan is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Oates; daughter, Sandra J. Hanna

She is survived by her sons, Terry R. Oates and wife, Regina of Bryant and Jimmy L. Oates of Benton; son in law, Brian of Bryant; brother in laws, Joe B. Oates and wife, Joyce of Little Rock; grandchildren, Matthew Oates, Zach Hanna (Christin) and Amelia McGill (Ricky), all of Bryant; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be this evening, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, beginning at 12:00 PM at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72120, officiated by Dennis Gulledge.
