Joan Oehrlie Wagner

Joan Oehrlie Wagner, a remarkable soul who graced the world with her presence for 97 years, peacefully passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, in Little Rock.

Born and raised in Little Rock, she was the daughter of the late Anna and John Oehrlie. Joan graduated from Central High School in 1944. She attended Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas.

While attending college she met the love of her life while attending a military ball. On February 8, 1946, she married Lee Wagner, and they cherished 65 wonderful years together.

Joan dedicated over 40 years of her life to Tipton and Hurst florist, where she expertly served as the bridal/wedding consultant and floral designer. Following her retirement, Joan and her husband fulfilled their lifelong dream of exploring the world through travel.

Joan remained active in retirement as she was a leading volunteer at St. Vincent's Infirmary for over two decades, serving as President of the Auxiliary and sitting on the Foundation's Board of Directors. During this time she also served on the dispute settlement board for the Ford Motor Company.

She also initiated a family tradition by leading her daughter's Girl Scout troop, a legacy that has been carried on by her daughter and granddaughter.

Survived by her daughter, Cindy Radetic (John) of Chesterfield, MO, and her son, Mark Wagner (Nan) of Little Rock, Joan leaves behind four grandchildren: Lauren Radetic Gloriod (Stephen), Zachary Wagner (Lyle), Christopher Radetic, and Colin Wagner (Lauren). Her legacy extends to three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Charlotte, and Stephen Gloriod.

Her family wishes to thank Briarwood Nursing Home and Hospice Home Care for the care mom received.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 1321 S. Van Buren, Little Rock, AR, 72204, 501-666-5073, https://goodcounsellr.com/egiving ; or CHI St. Vincent Foundation, https://www.chistvincent.com/giving.
