JoAnn McGriff, age 75, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, July 6, 2017. She was born on November 22, 1941 in Centreville, Alabama to Robert Lester Thompson and Virginia Carson Boyd Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Buddy McGriff; and her parents. JoAnn was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved animals. She also worked for St. Josephs Mercy Hospital. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Daniel Lunsford; her son, Bobby McGriff, all of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Samantha Meeks, Martin Meeks and Morgan Lunsford; a very special great-granddaughter, Merina "Boo" Howard; all of Hot Springs; two sisters, Robbie Jean Cooper of Napa Valley, California and Sharon Virginia Mitchell of Centreville, Alabama; and her special friend, Charles Walker of Hot Springs. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Bro. George Lynch officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Pallbearers will be Daniel Lunsford, Joel Frye, Tim Dixon, Barry Musgrave, Marvin White and Belinda Lunsford. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Kroger on Airport Road and Evelyn and "V" of Hospice of Central Avenue. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
