Listen to Obituary

Joe William Langston, 72, passed away on October 16, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on November 16, 1953, in Warren, Arkansas to Aubert and Helen Langston, and he grew up in Hermitage, Arkansas.

Joe lived a life marked by service, hard work, and a deep and abiding faith in the Lord. During the late 1970s, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a BT3 petty officer 3rd class. Following his military service, he became a Police Officer in Warren, Arkansas during the 80s. After the birth of his daughter, he chose a different path, moving to Cabot, Arkansas, where he built a career as a Ford Senior Master Technician. He later worked for Walmart several years before retiring.

Throughout his life, Joe’s faith remained an important part of who he was. He attended New Hope Nazarene Church in Mabelvale, Arkansas, and held an unwavering faith in the Lord. His faith served as a guiding part of his life and a source of strength through the years.

Joe’s greatest legacy lives on through the family and loved ones he leaves behind. He is survived by his daughter, Jesssica Langston of Paragould, Arkansas; his sister, Paula Norman (David, Jr.) of Mabelvale, Arkansas; brothers Danny Langston of Ward, Arkansas, and Darrell Langston of Bradford, Arkansas; and many beloved nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubert and Helen Langston; brother Norman “Doug” Langston; sister Pamela Turney; and Bessie Forrest, the mother of his daughter.

Joe will be remembered for his years of service, his dedication to his work, his steadfast faith, and the love he had for his family. Though his passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, his memory will live on through the lives he touched and the family who will continue to carry his memory forward. May he find peace in the presence of his Savior.
