IN LOVING MEMORY

August 25, 1936—----- May 13, 2026

Joe Louis Quinones, age 89 of Alpine, Arkansas, passed away into the loving arms of God. He was born in Asa, Texas to Donato Quinones and Gregoria Guerra Quinones. He will forever be remembered as a kind and loving person who loved being outdoors, fishing, camping or just sitting out on the back porch enjoying the breeze and sunshine. He married the love of his life Doris Virginia Spears in 1956 and together they were blessed with four children, Rebecca, Mary Carmen, Joe Jr., and Sylvia.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca, his son, Joe, Jr, his parents, his grandson Jeremy, his brothers Antonio, Donato Jr., and Raymond.

He is survived by his daughters Mary Carmen McCormick of Bluffton, Indiana and Sylvia Howell and Billy Pickle (his care givers until the end) of Alpine, Arkansas, he is also survived by his brothers Julius (wife Judy) of Decatur, Indiana, Roy and Johnny of Waco, Texas, sisters Carmen Hernandez of Waco, Texas and Lupe Quiñones-Phelps (husband Phillip) of Melissa, Texas and sister-in-law Juanita Quinones of Ft.Wayne, Indiana. And many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Joe proudly served his country for four years in the United States Army.
He was employed at Corning Glassworks for 25 years. Then worked at Dessault Falcon Jet before retiring.

Pallbearers will be Billy Pickle, Scott Hancock, Justin Howell, Jayden Howell, Tracy Spears, and Macky Davis.,

Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Davis and Aaron McCormick.

A visitation will take place on Sunday May 17th 4:00PM to 6:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel-Glenwood.

A service will take place Wednesday May 20th 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel-Glenwood with burial to follow at Coker Cemetery.
