Joel Elbert Buckholts passed away March 22, 2026. He was born January 18, 1944 in Dupont, GA to John Robert and Carie Buckholts. He graduated Valdosta High in 1962, Valdosta State University in 1970, and graduate school at South GA University in 1979. Joel retired as a farmers insurance agent in Little Rock, Arkansas in4 after 37 years. He was an avid crappie fisherman. He was an Air Force Vietnam Veteran. Joel is survived by his son, Troy Michel (N. Branch, MN), his daughter, Cynthia Wells (Chickamauga, GA).
