John Aclin

John Aclin

John C. Aclin, 102, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013. He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, a Navy veteran of World War II, former owner of Levy Model Market and Aclin Stereo Tape Company. He was past board member and past president of Model Markets, Inc., Affiliated Foods, Inc., Levy Lions Club, and Levy Sertoma Club. He was a member of The American Legion, Trinity Lodge 694, Scottish Rite, Scimitar Shrine Temple and the Elks Club 1004.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Luceille Aclin; son, Dale Aclin (Carol); two granddaughters, Kim Watts (Matt) and Karrie Wiggins (Marty); four great-grandsons, Jacob and Tate Watts and Grant and Griffin Wiggins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pete and Mary Parthena McGiboney Aclin and his siblings, Lloyd and Roy Aclin and Martha Hubbard.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sherwood Nursing and Rehabilitation.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or Shrine Children's Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
