John L. Davis Sr., 83, of Jacksonville, AR., passed away October 22, 2017. He was an Am Trac Mechanic with the US Marine Corps, A retired Police Officer with the Lonoke Police Department and a Korean War Veteran earing a Korean Service Medal, A UN Service Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by 5 sons, Robert Davis, John Davis Jr. (Shara), Tracy Davis (Leslie), Casey and Joey Davis; 4 daughters, Sandra Williams (Raymond) Tamara Lackie (Joe Wayne), Teri Glover (Scot) and Stephanie Davis; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Raymond Davis and Oma Lee Blohm, 1 brother, Joe Davis, 1 sister, Mona Bell Sanderson and 1 daughter, Tina Bickel.
John enjoyed his job as a police officer and was very devoted. He never met a stranger. The family would like to extend a Special Thanks to the nurses and physicans at the Little Rock VA hospital for their empathy and patience.
