John Westbrook Deese, 62, died at home Saturday, June 27, 2009, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Johnny was a loving son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He had many friends and loved his cats and dogs.
He was preceded in death by parents, John Henry and Marilyn Deese and maternal grandmother, Belle M. Westbrook of Beebe, Arkansas.
He is survived by his brother, William C. Deese, and wife, Evelyn, and niece, Marilyn Nicole of Ruston, Louisiana. Mr. John also had many special friends at Lakeside Residential Care.
John was a member of the First Baptist Church and a 1966 graduate of Beebe High School. He was a dedicated employee of Speed Queen Manufacturers in Searcy, Adams Grocery in Beebe, and The Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs until retirement. He was also in the aluminum business.
Johnny was genuine, trusting, honest, dependable, and hard working. He loved his family and friends with all his heart and soul. He never met a stranger, and he never forgot a name. He would do anything in his power for anyone in need. He was an excellent bowler, pool shooter, and vocalist.
