John Ed Graddy, 67, passed away January 10, 2025, in Conway, Arkansas. Born in Stuttgart, Arkansas on December 16, 1957, he was the only child of Robert and Melvine Graddy. John Ed is survived by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis Graddy of Conway; daughters Holly Points (Josh) and Kim VanPaepeghem of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren Jonathan, Amelia, Grayson, and Piper; cousin Joseph “JR” Mills (Debbie); honorary brother Charlie Joslin (Holly).
John Ed will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality that encompassed his passion for Razorback football, quick sense of humor, and the way he would go the extra mile for those he loved. He was proud of his time and work in Future Farmers of America and his years of service as a member of Rotary International, but nothing compares to the pride and joy he took in his role as “Pop” to his grandkids. John Ed never met a stranger, and anyone he crossed paths with was likely to be asked if they wanted to hear the “joke of the day.” He was always ready with a quip or story to brighten someone else’s day as needed.
Visitation will be held at Antioch Baptist Church in Conway on Tuesday January 14th, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm with the funeral immediately following at 4:30. Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com/ Conway to sign the online guest register
Please come dressed in your best Razorback gear as John Ed wouldn't want it any other way.
