John C. Farnam, Sr., 79, of Little Rock, passed away November 14, 2010. He was born in Delaware, Arkansas to Fred Hobert and Dellar Dixon Farnam and was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Farnam served as a patrolman with the Little Rock Police Department for 21 years, and established a landscaping and small engine repair business. He was a member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris Rodgers Farnam and two sisters, he is survived by a son, John C. Farnam, Jr. of No. Little Rock and a daughter, Deborah Farnam of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Archie H. Farnam (Erma) of Quitman, Bobby James Farnam of Washington, D.C., Harvie Lee Farnam (Sharon) of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Robert Leroy Farnam (Carol) of Little Rock; sister, Betty Jennings (Bill) of Pine Bluff; granddaughter, Jacklyn Grant and eighteen other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Emory Crossland. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery at New Blaine. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
