John Hartley, 49, of Little Rock passed away Friday, October 5, 2012. Born in Hollywood, Florida on December 14, 1962 to Dr. William and Robin (Miller) Hartley, he was the Co-owner of Hartley Brothers, LLC. He graduated from Hall High School in 1980, and graduated at the top of his class from Panola College in Texas and Arkansas College of Technology. John worked as a Quality Control Technician for Deluxe Video for ten years. He was a great-nephew of Senator Joe T. and Mrs. Ewilda (Miller) Robinson. John was a kind-hearted, compassionate person who loved fishing in the Florida Keys, camping at Lake Ouachita and Lake Hamilton. He was also an avid Razorback and Miami Dolphins fan.
He is survived by his father, Dr. William C. Hartley and step-mother, Barbara of Plantation, Florida; brother, William Miller Hartley (Amanda) of Hot Springs; half-sister, Kristen Hartley of New York; uncle, Henry Grady Miller, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Little Rock; and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock with Reverend Tim Reed officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd., Little Rock, AR 72210.
