John Allen Helton Jr., 59, died peacefully Sunday, January 18, 2026, with family by his side in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Allen was born September 5, 1966, in Mesquite, Texas to John and Marleen Helton.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Marleen and his grandmother Myrtle Goodman.

He is survived by his son, Gage Allen Helton of Conway and his father, John Allen Helton, Sr of Gainesville, Texas, who will forever cherish his memory.

Allen worked in outside sales for Whit Davis Lumber for 20+ years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, watching football, and spending time around loved ones. Allen was an avid Razorback and Sooner fan and never missed an opportunity to support his teams. Above all, he will be remembered for his great personality, warm spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Allen’s memory will live on through the love of his family and friends and the many lives he touched. In celebrating Allen’s passion for the Razorbacks and Sooners the family will be honoring him by wearing crimson or something with one of the team’s logos. Everyone is welcome to join us but the least we request is just your Sunday best.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery.
