John H. Hicks, Jr.

John H. Hicks, Jr. was born on October 5, 1947 in Little Rock.  His parents were John Sr and Mayo Hicks.  After graduating from Little Rock Central High in 1965, John received a degree in speech and drama from Arkansas College (Lyons College) in 1969.  John served in the Naval Reserve in Kodiak, Alaska.  He finished his professional career at Darragh Construction after 37 years.

John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Muriel; sons: Chris (Rebekah) and Patrick (Krecia); and 3 grandchildren: Eli. Carson, and Luke. 

John was a talented guitar player and vocalist and served, using these talents, for over 50 years at Park Hill Baptist Church, North Little Rock.
