John G Howard, Jr, 102, passed peacefully on April 16, 2022.

I hope not to bore those readers of this obituary with such things as a long list of family members left behind, a list of activities as my Alpha Omega Alpha award, presidencies at  Arkansas Psychiatric Association, Mid-Continent Psychiatric Association, and Mental Health Association, and even of my church (to which I have devoted a rewarding amount of time and energy).

Rather, I wish to be remembered for having touched the lives of some of the family members and friends I have known; plus, the lives of patients I treated through my life’s work as a psychiatrist. One of my greatest satisfactions in life has been to have my former patients, years later, to come up to me and thank me; saying how I changed and touched their lives. This is what I wish to leave as my legacy.

Memorial service will take place Friday, April 22, 2022 at Unitarian Universalist Church in Little Rock at 2:00pm.
