John Anthoney Hunt

John "Tony" Hunt - Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 1, 2024.

Born in Hot Springs, AR. on January 22, 1955. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wiliam A. Hunt and Hazel F. Richards, and brothers, Robert and William Hunt. Tony is survived by his loving wife, Karen Jean Hunt; children April Carlton (Gary Millican) and Anthoney Hunt (LeAnn Carlisle); grandchildren Blaine Carlton and Amelia Hunt; sisters Andra, Sandra, and Shirley; and special friend Todd Carlton. 

Tony grew up in Hot Springs and spent a career in building and remodeling, eventually applying his carpentry skills to their country home in the Ouachita's. 
His real passion, however, was cooking. Having the benefit of working alongside his parents at La Casita for many years, his family and friends had the pleasure of enjoying his culinary skills, especially Mexican cuisine. 

He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A very special thanks to Steven Hutchins, M.D., and Lola Fish R.N. of Baptist Heart Transplant Institute for their extraordinary care and compassion for the past ten years. 

Pallbearers will be Todd Carlton, Gary Millican, Justin Dobbs, Dustin Dodd, Dylan Dodd, and Brad Robertson.
