John Maitlen
John "Jay" Maitlen, age 60 of Mabelvale, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on November 8, 1952 in Anderson, Indiana; he was the son of John "J" Maitlen and Susan A. Ballinger-Maitlen.
"Jay" was a Survey Crew worker before becoming disabled. He was a member of the Eagle Scouts and Chicot Road Baptist Church and enjoyed caring for his pets and land.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother.
Survivors include two brothers, Jack Maitlen of Mabelvale, and Jeffrey (Paula) Maitlen of Saudi Arabia; two sisters Tamara (Bob) Du Bose of Heber Springs, and Cindy (Dickie) Echols of Mabelvale; many nieces and nephews, his church family, and much-loved pets.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, Arkansas, with a visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be held at a later date at Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Arkansas Veterans' Hospice.
