John Matchett
John "Raymond" Matchett, 76, of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016. He was born in North Little Rock on January 31, 1939 to Eldon and Pearl (Caffery) Matchett. Raymond was a retired Captain of the North Little Rock Fire Department, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army and 32nd Degree Mason.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna Matchett; son, David (Rhonda) Matchett; daughter, Vickie Johnson; daughter, Alesha Matchett; son, Jim Matchett (Stacey); fourteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. A private burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
