John Moore

John Moore, age 78, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was born on December 16, 1938 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the son of John Moore and Minerva Sarah Hall Moore. On September 13, 1958, he was married to Kathryn Marie Plyler. He was preceded death by his parents; and two sisters, Florence and Mary. He was a retired systems analyst for Hewlett-Packard and member of the Grace Baptist Church. He would facet gemstones into beautiful pieces for use in jewelry. He is survived by his wife, Kitty Moore of Glenwood; three children, Beth Spinks of Westville, Oklahoma, John Wesley Moore, II of Glenwood and Michael Moore of Little Rock; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jackie Chilcotte of Seattle, Washington and Ruth Close of Wichita, Kansas. Private memorial services are being planned by the family. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
