John Wayne O'Bar, age 49 of Bismarck died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1955 in Danville, AR the son of the late Wallace B. and Freeda L. Morris O'Bar. He was a disabled veteran serving in the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army as a staff sgt. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans Association of America.
Survivors include one step-son, John Michael Flournoy of Malvern; four daughters, Misty Michell O'Bar of Groveland, FL, Stephanie Marie Crowson of Benton, Shonda Renee Flournoy of Bismarck and Jessica Nicole O'Bar of Malvern; three brothers, William Jessie, James Harold and Jimmy Ray O'Bar; four sisters, Freeda Joyce Meny, Aline Minnie O'Bar, Dora Frances Nichols and Mary Alice O'Bar; four grandchildren, Kaitlynn Lucille Plunk , Shelby and Candace Stricklin and Annastacia Machell Flournoy.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 in Harris Cemetery in Yell County, AR. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
