John W. Platt, 72, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008. He was a retired Captain with the North Little Rock Fire Department and a member of the I.A.F.F. local 35. John was a member of Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church and a United States Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by a son, Ritchie Platt of Conway; three grandchildren, Angela Willis of Dardanelle, James and Tommy Platt both of Conway; two great-grandchildren, Randy Joe Willis and Brianna Willis. John was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Ruth Platt; parents, James and Rosa Platt; seven brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery, Batesville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
