John Earl Ross, 80, of Little Rock, passed away on June 21, 2009. He was born March 7, 1929 in Briggsville, Arkansas to Herbert and Lyda McTigrit Ross. A United States Air Force Veteran, he participated in the Berlin Airlift and was a member of American Legion's M.M. Eberts Post #1.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Cindy Rapp and two brothers, Herbert "Bo" Ross and Raymond "Pete" Ross. Surviving are his son, John Earl Ross, Jr. and wife, Amy of Little Rock; sister, Mary Gammill of Maumelle; brother, Bill Ross and wife, Virginia of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 904 Autumn Rd., Little Rock, AR 72211.
