Johnie Marie Holloway, 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in Little Rock. She was born on December 4, 1921, in Alexander, Arkansas, to Eva and John Barth.

During World War II, Johnie worked alongside her sister, Catherine, in an airplane factory in Kansas. Johnie retired from Westinghouse and Phillips Lighting Company as a plant supervisor. She was a member of Brooks Bethel Baptist Church in Alexander.

An avid gardener, Johnie loved flowers, especially irises, and she enjoyed sharing her homegrown vegetables with others. Johnie also loved animals, and she enjoyed cooking and baking, particularly during the holidays when Johnie shared her homemade baked goods with family and friends. She also spent countless hours reading, completing crossword puzzles, and visiting with neighbors at the Benton Senior Citizens' Center.

Johnie was a fun-loving, generous person who was cherished by many for her wonderful sense of humor and kind spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva and John Barth; her son, Stan Ivy; and her siblings, Catherine Kramer, Wilbert Barth, and Walter Barth.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Ivy; granddaughter, Ashley Beazley, and her husband, Brent; granddaughter, Brooke Ivy; and great granddaughter, Campbell Grace Beazley, all of Little Rock. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins and many friends.

Johnie's family wishes to thank the staff of Pleasant Valley Living Center in Little Rock and Benton Residential Care Center for the loving care they provided to Johnie during her final years.

On Monday, July 22, a graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Reverend Danny Fagala will officiate. Prior to the service, Johnie will lie in state on Monday, July 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.
