Johnny L. Holley, 78, of Sherwood went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born January 28, 1938 in England, Arkansas to Monroe and Lillie Holley. He was a retired Sergeant with the North Little Rock Police Department with 22 years of service, a Lt. with UAMS Police Department for 10 years and worked security at the Clinton Library. He also attended the F.B.I. Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Johnny was a member of Central Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Della Rhea Holley; daughters, Darlene Houser (Robert), Kimberly Harris, LaDonna Lewis Broussard (Allan) and Karen Ashlea Watson (B.J.); twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Joy Patterson, Jim Holley and Kenneth Holley and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Holley; parents; brother, Frank Holley and his son in law, John Harris.
Funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m., Friday, January 13th at Central Baptist Church, 5200 Fairway Ave., North Little Rock. Burial will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12th at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Online obituary at
