Johnny "John" Wayne Martin

June 23, 1952 — July 3, 2023

Alexander

Johnny Wayne Martin, 71, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away July 3, 2023.  He was born June 23, 1952in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Monroe Jack and Christine (James) Martin Halligan.

John enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and the yearly trips to Sturgis.  He loved “good food” and was a regular at several of the local restaurants.  John was nicknamed “Cowboy” by his coworkers.  He had horses and could often be found outdoors hunting and fishing.  John loved the Lord and read the Bible and watched evangelists on TV.   He took his son to watch drag car races and to see muscle cars.  John was a real tough man, who like to enjoy life and a strong cup of coffee in the early morning. His family was special to him, and he treasured time spent together.

Preceding John in death are his mother, Christine Halligan; and brother-in-law, Louis Carrarro.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his children:  Kristy Hutchins of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Lucas Martin (Claudia) of Bryant, Arkansas; grandchildren:  Keelee Hutchins, Kara Hutchins, Landon Martin, Pierce Martin, Jaycee Turner, Kynlee Turner, and Delaney Turner; sister, Monarie Carrarro of Little Italy, Arkansas; brother, James Halligan of Austin, Texas; father, Robert Halligan of Bryant, Arkansas; mother of his children, Kathy Thompson (Ken) of Bauxite, Arkansas; son-in-law, Brent Hutchins of Fayetteville, Arkansas; beloved dog, Zorey; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who love John and will miss him always.
