Johnny F Winchester

Johnny F. Winchester, age 85, of NLR, AR, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at home surrounded by love. He was born on March 8, 1941, in Datto, Arkansas, to the late John Winchester and the late Lucille (Starnes) Hampton.

He was married to the love of his life, the late Brenda Winchester, for 55 years before her passing. Johnny was the founder/owner of Ark. Core Exchange from 1987 until he retired. He also was a member/vice president of P.D. Hunt Club in Poyen, AR as he was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. Johnny had a deep-rooted faith in Jesus Christ and was a devout Christian. Other than his parents and wife, Johnny was preceded in death by his son, DeWayne (POOH) Winchester.

He is survived by his brother, Don (Janis) Winchester of San Diego, California; son, Mark (Tami) Winchester of NLR, AR; daughter, Talisa (Rick) Osborne of Cabot, AR; daughter, Tammy (Scott) Stephenson of NLR, AR; 6 Grandchildren – Alan Winchester, Jonathan (Patrice) Winchester, Erica (Eric) McAdams, Michael Hale, Ashlee Walker and Micheal Walker. 7 Great Grandchildren – Kaleb Winchester, Marlee & Houston Palmer, and Pierce, Lawson, Amelia & Nora Winchester. 2 Great-Great Grandchildren – Alaia Winchester, Ethan King and a host of extended family.

Johnny brought great joy, laughter and love to all who met him as he lived his life serving others. He was respected by all as he was rooted in integrity and his handshake was his word.

Visitation will be held at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, NLR, Arkansas, Thursday Sept. 24, 2026, from 9:30 - 10:00 AM Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 AM with Brother Charlie Winters officiating. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, NLR, AR at 12:00 PM noon. 

Pallbearers will be Alan Winchester, Jonathan Winchester, Kaleb Winchester, Michael Hale, Micheal Walker, Jim Potter, Mike Bullerwell, Scott Stephenson And Eric McAdams.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Arkansas Hospice / Life Touch, with a special thank-you to Johnny's companion caregiver, Sharon Holmes, from A Place At Home.
