Johnnye Ruth Davis

Johnnye Ruth Davis, age 78, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.

She was born on March 5, 1943, in Murfreesboro. On August 11, 1962, she was married to Charles Ray Davis who preceded her in death on January 9, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Raines and Gertrude Cox Raines, and her brother, Jimmy Minor.

Johnnye was retired from the United State Postal Service. She loved working on her farm and taking care of her animals.

She is survived by her cousins, Junior Cox, Cecil Cox, Floyd Cox, Boyd Cox, Katherine Lane and Clayton Robbins.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, December 31, 2021, in the Hicks Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Fagan officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Wilson, Austin Cox, Dalton Cox, Cody Gonzales, Jerry Lamb, Cody Cox and Floyd Cox.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
