Joseph "Joe" L. Benedict

Joseph “Joe” L. Benedict, 70, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those who cared for him. He was born on September 18, 1955, in Topeka, Kansas, to William B. Benedict and Mary L. Rush.

Joe graduated from high school and spent much of his working life in factory work. While his professional life was an important part of his story, Joe will be remembered most by those who knew him for the place he held in their lives.

For 30 years, Joe was considered family by those closest to him. He was a familiar and cherished presence at birthday celebrations, holidays, and family gatherings. Over the years, many memories were made together through trips, celebrations, and simply enjoying one another's company. His presence brought comfort and companionship to those around him, and he became a beloved part of the family.

Joe will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. The memories shared over the years will remain a lasting reminder of the special place he held in the hearts of those who considered him family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. Benedict and Mary L. Rush.
