Joseph Robert Bittengle, Jr., 50, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008. He was an Associate Professor of Radiologic Imaging and the Division Director of Radiologic Imaging Sciences at UAMS. He was also a member and subdeacon of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, and a great Dad to his sons, Joseph Nile Bittengle of Jonesboro and Adam Christopher Bittengle of Little Rock.
In addition to his sons, he is survived by his parents, Joseph and Hazel Bittengle and a sister, Deanne Rene Bittengle, all of Ohio; and his love, Jody Seabright and her son, Abbie Seabright of Wheeling, West Virginia.
Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 1812 Watt Street, Little Rock, officiated by Father Joseph Bittle. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.
As a memorial tribute, the Joseph R. Bittengle Scholarship Fund has been established at the UAMS College of Health Related Professions (CHRP). In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the fund at UAMS Office of Development & Alumni Affairs, 4301 W. Markham, #716, Little Rock, AR 72205.
